SHOOTING FROM THE HIP
A big goofy white dude like myself really stands out in the middle of a bunch of action sticking a camera in stranger's faces. My solution is to shoot from the hip. These photos are my first session playing around with the technique and timing needed to get a good capture. Using an 14mm ultra-wide helps since focus becomes less of an issue. In some cases I wait to shoot until I am almost running into people. Nothing too outstanding yet, but a technique I think has potential.
